About This Scholarship

In 1980, Lydia Ittner, the widow of Fred A. Ittner, established a scholarship fund in his honour after his death in California in November 1979. The Fred A. Ittner Scholarship from the United Advisory Scholarship Commission is given to graduating seniors from Arthur Hill High School who are going to pursue a degree in business administration while enrolled full-time in a college or institution. Candidates must show that they have a need for money.

Eligibility Criteria For Fred A. Ittner Scholarship

Here are some common factors that may be considered:

  • Field of Study: Scholarships for a degree in business typically apply to students pursuing a business-related degree, such as Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or other business disciplines.
  • Academic Performance: Most scholarships require applicants to have a strong academic record. This may include a minimum grade point average (GPA), standardized test scores (such as SAT or ACT), or specific academic achievements in relevant coursework.
  • Enrollment Status: Scholarships may be available to high school seniors planning to enroll in a college or university, undergraduate students already enrolled in a business program, or graduate students pursuing an advanced degree in business.
  • Leadership and Extracurricular Activities: Scholarships often value applicants who have demonstrated leadership qualities and active participation in extracurricular activities. This can include involvement in student organizations, community service, internships, or leadership roles within their school or community.
  • Career Goals and Interest in Business: Scholarships may prioritize applicants who have a clear understanding of their career goals in the business field and demonstrate a passion for business studies. Applicants may need to articulate their career aspirations and explain how the scholarship will contribute to their educational and professional development.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Strong letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, mentors, employers, or individuals who can speak to the applicant’s academic abilities, character, and potential for success in business studies may be required.
