The Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD) is a program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs that provides undergraduate students from around the world with the opportunity to study for a semester or academic year at a U.S. college or university. The program is designed to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and other countries, as well as to provide participants with a unique educational and cultural experience.
Selected participants are placed at host institutions throughout the United States, where they enroll in a full course load of undergraduate courses and participate in cultural and community service activities. Participants receive full scholarships that cover tuition and fees, room and board, round-trip airfare, and a small monthly stipend for personal expenses.
