Eligibility Criteria For Goldberg-Miller Public Finance Scholarship

  • Graduate Student Status: To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a full-time graduate student pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field. Part-time students are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • Interest in State or Local Government Finance: The scholarship is open to students who are interested in pursuing a career in state or local government finance. Applicants must demonstrate their passion for public finance and desire to work in the public sector.
  • Academic Excellence: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. In addition, they must demonstrate academic excellence in their chosen field of study, as evidenced by their transcripts, academic awards, and other academic achievements.
  • Professional Development: The scholarship is intended to support students preparing for a career in public finance. Therefore, applicants must demonstrate their commitment to professional development in this field through internships, relevant work experience, or involvement in professional organizations.
  • Citizenship or Permanent Residency: To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
