The Golden Door Scholars program is a scholarship program that provides financial support to high-performing students who are undocumented immigrants and who wish to pursue higher education in the United States. Eligibility Criteria For Golden Door Scholars

The Golden Door Scholars program provides scholarship and career opportunities for high-performing DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) students, also known as Dreamers, who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university. Here are the general eligibility criteria for the Golden Door Scholars program:

  • Applicants must be DACA recipients who have applied for or received DACA status.
  • Applicants must be high school seniors, recent high school graduates, or current college students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll or currently enrolled full-time at a four-year accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and they must demonstrate financial need and come from households with an annual income at or below the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to their community.
  • Applicants must complete the Golden Door Scholars application, which includes essays, letters of recommendation, and financial information.
