Eligibility Criteria For Grand Valley State LGBT Scholarship

To be eligible for the Grand Valley State LGBT Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Letters of recommendation: Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to their academic achievements, personal character, and/or community involvement.
  • Transcript: Applicants must submit an official transcript from their current or most recent academic institution.
  • Application requirements: Applicants must be LGBT (lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, or transgender) students.
  • Grand Valley State University enrollment: Applicants must be enrolled there now or intend to enrol for the upcoming school year. Grand Valley State University is in Allendale, Michigan.
  • Academic success: Candidates must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 measure.
  • Financial need: It must be proven by applicants, who must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA).
