About This Scholarship

The Greenhouse Scholars Program is a nonprofit organization that provides financial, academic, and professional support to high-performing, under-resourced students from communities across the United States. The program offers a comprehensive support system that includes mentoring, leadership development, and networking opportunities to help these scholars achieve their academic and career goals.

The program selects high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to their communities. Once selected, the scholars receive a full-ride scholarship to a four-year college or university of their choice, as well as access to the Greenhouse Scholars support system throughout their college careers and beyond.

Greenhouse Scholars aim to empower young leaders from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential and create positive change in their communities. The program is committed to cultivating a diverse community of scholars who will drive innovation and progress in their respective fields.

Eligibility Criteria For Greenhouse Scholars Program

The Greenhouse Scholars Program is a scholarship and mentorship program designed to support high-performing, under-resourced students who demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to their communities. To be eligible for the Greenhouse Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a graduating high school senior, or a current college student with no more than four years of full-time college coursework completed
  • Be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident, or have refugee or asylum status
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to their community and leadership potential through participation in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, internships, or other experiences
  • Plan to enroll full-time in a four-year accredited college or university in the fall following their selection as a Greenhouse Scholar.

In addition to the above criteria, the Greenhouse Scholars Program seeks applicants who have overcome significant adversity or demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges, and who come from diverse backgrounds, including underrepresented communities.
