About This Scholarship

The Hillel Campus Leadership Award is an annual scholarship program that recognizes outstanding Jewish undergraduate students who have demonstrated leadership in the campus community. The award is given by Hillel International, the largest Jewish campus organization in the world, and aims to support students who have made significant contributions to Jewish life on their campuses.The Hillel Campus Leadership Award provides recipients with a $5,000 scholarship and the opportunity to participate in a leadership development program at the Hillel International Global Assembly. Recipients are selected based on their leadership experience, contributions to Jewish campus life, academic achievement, and potential for future leadership.Four young leaders, two in high school and two in college, have been chosen by Hillel International to receive scholarships in honour of their dedication to their communities and volunteering. Nominations for the Hillel Campus Leadership Award are typically due in the fall, and recipients are announced in the spring. Interested students should contact their campus Hillel professional or lay leader for more information on how to apply.

Eligibility Criteria For Hillel Campus Leadership Award

The eligibility criteria for the Hillel Campus Leadership Award are:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada.
  • Applicants for this scholarship must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have demonstrated significant leadership in Jewish campus life through activities such as organizing events, leading organizations, or creating innovative Jewish programming.
  • Applicants must be in good standing with their university or college.
  • Be nominated by their campus Hillel professional or lay leader.
  • Be a Jewish student, as defined by Hillel International.
