About This Scholarship

The Illinois Rural Health Association (IRHA) offers Rural Dental and Social Work/Behavioral Scholarships to support students pursuing careers in these fields and who have a strong commitment to serving rural communities in Illinois.The Rural Dental Scholarship provides financial support to dental students who are committed to practicing in rural areas of Illinois after completing their education. The scholarship covers up to $20,000 in tuition, fees, and other educational expenses.

The Social Work/Behavioral Scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing a master’s degree in social work or a doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, or related fields who have a strong commitment to serving rural communities in Illinois. The scholarship covers up to $10,000 in tuition, fees, and other educational expenses.
