About This Scholarship

If you’re a woman who is 35 years old or above and is pursuing an associate’s, technical/vocational, or first bachelor’s degree, consider applying for the Jeannette Rankin Foundation National Scholar Grant. This grant is available to women aged 35 and older studying at any accredited institution in the U.S. and is provided by the Jeannette Rankin Foundation. This national organization supports low-income women aged 35 and older in achieving their college goals. The National Scholar Grant is awarded directly to the recipients and is renewable for up to five years. Applicants must be female, 35 or older, studying in the United States at an accredited institution. Also, applicants need to be enrolled in an associate’s, first-bachelor’s, or technical/vocational degree program in the fall semester of the year of application. The Jeannette Rankin Foundation National Scholar Grant provides $1,000 per semester or $2,000 per year to low-income women 35 and over who are attending accredited institutions of higher learning. This grant is provided directly to the recipients. Applicants who qualify will receive this support for up to five years. This grant was created for Jeannette Rankin, the first woman who served in the U.S.
