Newly accepted or currently enrolled students in a cosmetology, barbering, hair design, esthetics, or nail technology programme at a recognised school or institution leading to U.S. licensure are eligible for the Jerry Alexander Gorman Foundation “The Passion to Succeed” Student Scholarship.
Jerry Alexander Gorman dedicated his entire existence to pursuing his love of the cosmetics business. He was a young man who worked full-time during the day and attended evening courses to become a licenced cosmetologist while supporting a new family. His dedication to achievement didn’t end there.
After years of hairstyling, he established his first salon shortly after, and many years later, he was promoted to national sales manager for a significant producer of salon and home beauty products. After gaining years of experience, he chose to use his passion for the business to become a successful and well-liked educator in order to give back.
To help those in need pursue their dream of becoming a licenced expert, the Jerry Alexander Gorman Foundation “The Passion to Succeed” Student Scholarship was established. The bursary is available to freshly accepted or enrolled students in an aesthetics or nail technology programme that leads to licensure in the United States. It will be given out by the Beauty Changes Lives Foundation.
