About This Scholarship

The Joseph Potochny Scholarship, which is awarded to disadvantaged and outstanding students of Ukrainian heritage who attend Youngstown State University, was made possible by a bequest provided by Joseph Potochny in 1963. In order to offer scholarships for YSU students, the Youngstown State University Foundation (YSUF), an independent non-profit organisation.
