About This Scholarship

If you’re a high school senior member of Learning Ally with a learning disability who’s about to graduate, you might want to consider applying for the Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award. This award is available to graduating high school seniors with learning disabilities who are members of Learning Ally and plan to pursue postsecondary education. Learning Ally is a prominent nonprofit organization that provides educational solutions to improve literacy and transform the lives of struggling learners. The Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award is named after Marion Huber, a dedicated and long-standing donor to Learning Ally who was passionate about engaging students with learning disabilities. Each year, the scholarship awards $6,000 to the top winners and $2,000 to special honors winners to assist with their education costs.

Eligibility Criteria For Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award

  • Membership Criteria: To be eligible for the award, you must be a member of Learning Ally, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving literacy and helping struggling learners. You must also be a graduating high school senior member of Learning Ally.
  • Learning Disability: You must have a documented learning disability, such as dyslexia, ADHD, or a processing disorder.
  • Pursuit of Postsecondary Education: You must plan to pursue postsecondary education, such as attending a college, university, vocational, or technical school.
  • Academic Performance: You must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Citizenship: You must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • Previous Award Recipients: Past Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Award recipients are ineligible for subsequent awards.
