The scholarship is open to current undergraduate students who are studying media, communications, journalism, or a related field, and who have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in media. Applicants must also be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

The internship provides students with hands-on experience working in the media industry, as well as the opportunity to network with industry professionals and gain valuable insights into the workings of media organizations.

Applications for the Media Fellows Scholarship are typically due in the fall each year. More information about the scholarship, including eligibility requirements and application instructions, can be found on the Washington Media Scholars Foundation website.
