About This Scholarship

The Horatio Alger Mel Klein Scholarship is sponsored by the Horatio Alger Association. Since its existence in 1984, Horatio Alger Association has awarded more than 20000 students approximately. Through its many scholarship programs, the Association helps students in pursuing career and technical certificates and degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate studies. The scholarships are only for International students who are willing to study in the United states. Paper applications are not accepted; all applicants must send their forms through the Horatio Alger Association’s online website. The scholarship award amount varies depending on the specific scholarship program and the student’s financial need. The funds can be used to cover tuition, fees, books, and other education-related expenses. The Mel Klein scholarship offers 5 awards annually

Eligibility Criteria For Mel Klein Scholarship

The Mel Klein Scholarship is offered to high school seniors who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in broadcasting. You can get fully funded chances to further your education as a graduating high school senior. You can get money to pay for your school costs through the Mel Klein Scholarship Program.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be a high school senior who is graduating in the year the scholarship is awarded.
  • Your academic success (grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5)
  • Considering attending Colgate University, Columbia University, Stanford University, or Tulane University to further your education
  • Additionally, submitting an application for this grant qualifies you for regional and national scholarships.
  • You must submit a completed application, including transcripts, letters of recommendation, and an essay explaining their interest in broadcasting.

The scholarship committee will review all applications and make awards based on merit, including academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and potential for success in a career of your desire.
