About This Scholarship

A nonprofit organisation called META (Making Education The Answer) offers college scholarships and educational mentoring to the underprivileged Latinx student community in Southern California. Only 18% of Latinx people in California have a college degree. The most frequent entry-level obstacle is financial trouble.

The founders of META, who are important members of the Latinx community in Los Angeles, set out to start a revolutionary organisation after overcoming their own hardships and generations of educational neglect and bigotry. The META Foundation allows individuals of the community to give back and uplift others through charitable gifts, both financially and as mentors, by establishing a charity with the sole purpose of removing these barriers for others.

The goal of META is to create an environment where Latinx students have an equal opportunity to succeed in the workplace and in community leadership.
