Eligibility Criteria For MSRA Jim Gracie Memorial Scholarship

The MSRA Jim Gracie Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior or college student who has demonstrated an interest in the sport of rodeo. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship are as follows:

  • Applicant must be a member of the Minnesota High School Rodeo Association (MSHSRA) or the Minnesota Junior High Rodeo Association (MNJHRA), or the applicant must have competed in a Minnesota High School Rodeo Association (MSHSRA) or the Minnesota Junior High Rodeo Association (MNJHRA) sanctioned event.
  • Applicants must be a legal resident of Minnesota.
  • Applicants must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, in a college, university, or vocational school for the upcoming academic year.
  • Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a strong interest in rodeo, either as a participant or as a fan.
  • Applicants must submit a completed scholarship application, along with a personal essay and at least one letter of recommendation.
