About This Scholarship

The National GEM Consortium (GEM) offers fellowships to underrepresented minority students pursuing graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The GEM Fellowship Program is designed to promote diversity and inclusion in these fields and to provide opportunities for talented students from underrepresented backgrounds to advance their careers in STEM.

The GEM Fellowship Program provides a number of benefits to fellows, including full tuition and fees at a GEM member institution, a stipend to cover living expenses, and access to professional development opportunities and networking events. GEM fellows also receive summer internships with GEM employer partners, which can provide valuable hands-on experience in their chosen field.

The application process for the GEM Fellowship Program typically opens in August and closes in November. More information about the program, including eligibility requirements, application deadlines, and a list of GEM member institutions, can be found on the GEM website.
