About This Scholarship

NFB Scholarships is a program of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) that provides financial assistance to blind and visually impaired students who are pursuing higher education. The NFB Scholarships program aims to support the academic and career aspirations of blind and visually impaired individuals and promote their inclusion in all aspects of society.

The NFB Scholarships program offers multiple scholarships, ranging from $3,000 to $12,000, to deserving blind and visually impaired students. The scholarships can be used to cover tuition, fees, room and board, textbooks, and other educational expenses. The scholarships are awarded annually to students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in a full-time course of study at an accredited postsecondary institution in the United States.

The application process for the NFB Scholarships program typically opens in November of each year, and the deadline for submission is in March of the following year. Scholarship recipients are announced in May.
