About This Scholarship

The Orange Scholars Scholarship Program is a scholarship program sponsored by The Home Depot, a leading home improvement retailer in the United States. The program provides financial assistance to the children of Home Depot associates who are pursuing a post-secondary education at a two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school.

The scholarship program awards up to $3,500 per academic year to selected students who meet the eligibility criteria. To be eligible, students must be the child of a Home Depot associate who has been employed for at least one year as of the application deadline, and the student must be a high school senior or graduate who plans to enroll in a post-secondary institution in the United States.

Applicants must also demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and community involvement. The program is open to students of any nationality who meet the eligibility criteria.

In addition to financial support, the program provides recipients with access to a range of networking and professional development opportunities, including mentorship from Home Depot associates, invitations to Home Depot events, and career development resources.

Applications for the Orange Scholars Scholarship Program typically open in the fall and are available on the Home Depot Foundation website. The application process requires students to submit academic transcripts, a personal essay, and a letter of recommendation from a non-family member who is familiar with the student’s academic and personal achievements.
