About This Scholarship

If you’re a woman seeking a graduate degree in the U.S. or Canada, and you’re not from either of those countries, consider applying for the P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund. This scholarship is available to women pursuing advanced degrees from accredited colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada who are not citizens of either country. The Philanthropic Educational Organization funds the scholarship, supporting women’s educational aspirations since 1869. They created the International Peace Scholarship Fund in 1949 to help women worldwide use their education to promote global peace. The scholarship provides up to $12,500 to cover educational and personal expenses. Recipients are encouraged to return to their home countries after earning their degrees and positively impact their communities.
