About This Scholarship

If you’re of Greek or Hellenic descent and currently enrolled in a university in the United States, consider applying for the Panhellenic scholarship. This scholarship, which requires no essay, awards $250,000 to 60 fortunate students each year to assist them in paying for their education. To be eligible, you must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 and submit your transcript and three letters of recommendation. The scholarship is provided by the Panhellenic Scholarship Foundation, a group dedicated to providing scholarships and educational programs to Greek American college students who have the potential to become significant lifelong achievers and make meaningful contributions to society, guided by the values of their Hellenic upbringing.

Eligibility Criteria For Panhellenic Scholarship

  • Greek or Hellenic descent: Applicants must be of Greek or Hellenic descent and are currently enrolled in a university in the United States.
  • College Student: Applicants must be currently enrolled in a university in the United States or are accepted for enrollment at a university in the United States. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and still need to be 40 years of age.
  • Academic Achievement: To be eligible for the Panhellenic Scholarship, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher.
  • Demonstrate financial need: Applicants must demonstrate financial need. They must be able to prove the following financial information via official documentation, including but not limited to:
  • Three letters of recommendation: Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation. These recommendations must come from individuals familiar with your academic endeavors and can also comment on your potential as a human being and potential for future success as an adult. Applicants may also submit two professional references, but these are not required.
  • Submitting the Essay: Applicants are not required to write an essay or complete any application form.
  • Campus Life: Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to campus life, including, but not limited to, participation in community service and athletics.
  • Submit a completed application: Applicants must submit a completed application and all required information. Applications are due by the deadline. The application may be submitted in person, via mail or fax, or electronically through the website.
