About This Scholarship

The Pennsylvania Chafee Education and Training Grant Program is a state-funded grant program that provides financial assistance to youth who have aged out of the foster care system and are pursuing higher education or job training. The program is named after former U.S. Senator John Chafee of Rhode Island, who was a strong advocate for children and families.

The funds can be used to pay for tuition, fees, books, and living expenses. In addition to financial assistance, the program also provides support and resources to help students succeed in their education and training, including academic and career counseling, tutoring, and mentoring.

The Pennsylvania Chafee Education and Training Grant Program is an important initiative that helps to address the unique challenges faced by youth who have aged out of foster care and are pursuing higher education or job training. It provides critical financial assistance and support to help these students achieve their educational and career goals and improve their prospects for a successful and fulfilling life.
