About This Scholarship

The Pepperdine Christian Leadership Award is a merit-based scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students at Pepperdine University who have demonstrated exceptional leadership in their church, school, or community, and who are committed to Christian values.In addition to academic achievement, leadership, and Christian commitment, the selection committee also considers the applicant’s potential to contribute to the Pepperdine community. The Christian Leadership Award covers up to the full cost of tuition and is renewable for up to four years, provided that the recipient maintains a minimum 2.5 GPA and continues to demonstrate leadership and involvement in Christian activities on campus.

Eligibility Criteria For Pepperdine Christian Leadership Award

The Pepperdine Christian Leadership Award is an annual scholarship program that is designed to recognize and reward high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities, academic excellence, and a commitment to Christian values. The eligibility criteria for this award are as follows:

  • Applicants must be a high school senior who is planning to enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at Pepperdine University in the fall semester immediately following graduation from high school.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated leadership abilities in their school, church, or community.
  • Applicants must have a commitment to Christian values and be actively involved in a Christian church or organization.
  • Applicants must submit a completed application, including an essay describing their leadership experiences and how they have demonstrated Christian values in their life.

It is important to note that meeting these eligibility criteria does not guarantee receipt of the award. The final selection of scholarship recipients is based on a competitive review of all applicants, including academic achievements, leadership experience, community service, and demonstrated commitment to Christian values.
