Pinnacol Foundation College Scholarship Program

The Pinnacol Foundation College Scholarship Program is designed to support the children of workers who have been injured or killed in work-related accidents in Colorado. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship program are as follows:

• Parent’s Work-Related Injury or Death: All the pplicants must be the natural, adopted, stepchild, or dependent of a worker who was injured or killed in a compensable work-related accident while employed in Colorado.
• Age Requirement: Applicants must be between the ages of 16 and 25 at the time of application.
• High School Graduation or Equivalent: Applicants must have graduated from high school or earned a GED (General Educational Development) certificate by the time the scholarship is awarded.
• College Enrollment: Scholarship recipients must be enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time undergraduate students in an accredited college, university, or vocational school in the United States.
• Academic Achievement: Applicants are required to have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Financial Need: The Pinnacol Foundation takes financial need into consideration during the selection process. Applicants must demonstrate financial need by providing information about their family’s income and resources.
• Personal Statement/Essay: Applicants are typically required to submit a personal statement or essay that highlights their educational goals, career aspirations, and the impact of their parent’s work-related injury or death.
