Raymond Davis, a pioneer in photographic sensitometry, colorimetry, and microphotography, is honored with the scholarship. A $1,000 scholarship is given to one or more imaging students each year to aid in covering their tuition costs. We urge you to apply if you are a student or researcher in the imaging sciences.
An advanced-level undergraduate or graduate student with an emphasis on academics and/or research in an imaging-related area is awarded this scholarship.
The Raymond Davis Scholarship is given by the society to a student or students of photographic or imaging science or engineering for use in continuing their studies as graduate or undergraduate students. The purpose of this grant is to support scholarly study or research into the theory or application of radient energy image formation. This honor was established in Raymond Davis’ honor. For more information about his life, check the society’s website. The Society for Imaging Science and Technology’s council of directors must approve the award before it can be given. During the society’s yearly conference in May, the scholarship is presented.
