About This Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria For RIVMA Veterinary Student Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for the RIVMA Veterinary Student Scholarship are as follows:

  • The applicant must be a Rhode Island resident or currently enrolled in a veterinary program at the University of Rhode Island.
  • The applicant must be enrolled in an accredited veterinary program, either as a full-time or part-time student.
  • The applicant must have completed at least one year of veterinary school by the time of the application deadline.
  • The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • The applicant must be a current member of RIVMA at the time of application.
  • In addition to these eligibility criteria, applicants may be required to submit an essay, transcripts, and letters of recommendation as part of the application process.
