About This Scholarship

The Sage Michaela Lucas “Timing is Everything” Scholarship is a program established in memory of Sage Michaela Lucas, a young woman who passed away at the age of 19 due to complications from epilepsy. The scholarship is intended to support individuals who are also living with epilepsy, as well as their families, as they pursue their educational goals.

The scholarship is open to students who have been diagnosed with epilepsy or who have a family member with epilepsy. Applicants must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university in the United States.

  • Applicants must be legal residents of the United States.
  • Applicants must provide a current transcript or other proof of academic achievement.
  • Applicants must provide a statement of purpose outlining their career goals and how they plan to use their education to improve the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy.
  • Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to their character, work ethic, and potential for success in their educational and career pursuits.
