About This Scholarship

The South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) offers several scholarships to students who are interested in pursuing careers in wildlife conservation, biology, or related fields. Here are some of the scholarships offered by the SCWF: The SCWF Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a South Carolina resident who is enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, environmental science, or a related field. The scholarship amount is $1,500.

The Jerry R. Banfield Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a South Carolina resident who is enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, environmental science, or a related field. The scholarship amount is $1,000.

The E. Dan Chassereau Conservation Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to a South Carolina resident who is enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in wildlife biology, fisheries biology, forestry, environmental science, or a related field. The scholarship amount is $2,000.

Eligibility Criteria For SC Wildlife Federation Scholarships

The South Carolina Wildlife Federation (SCWF) offers several scholarships to students who are interested in pursuing a career in the field of wildlife conservation or related areas. The eligibility criteria for SCWF scholarships are as follows:

  • Applicant must be a resident of South Carolina and he must be enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college, university, or technical college in South Carolina.
  • Applicants must be pursuing a degree in a field related to wildlife conservation, such as biology, ecology, natural resource management, wildlife and fisheries science, or environmental science.
  • Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and must demonstrate a strong commitment to wildlife conservation and environmental stewardship, as evidenced by extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or other relevant experiences.
