Eligibility Criteria For Scientist.com STEM Research NIL Award

The Scientist.com STEM Research NIL (New Investigator’s Award) is an award program that supports early-career researchers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). To be eligible for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a STEM field.
  • Applicants must be within 5 years of completing their PhD or equivalent degree at the time of the application deadline.
  • Applicants must have a full-time research or academic appointment at a non-profit research institution or university in the United States or Canada.
  • Applicants must have demonstrated evidence of research excellence and productivity in their field.
  • Applicants must have a research project that is innovative, high-impact, and feasible to complete within the award period.
  • Applicants must not have previously received more than $200,000 in grant funding as a principal investigator.
