Eligibility Criteria For SVCF Curry Award for Girls and Young Women

Here are some common factors that are often considered for financial assistance scholarships:

  • Financial Need: Financial assistance scholarships are typically awarded to students who demonstrate significant financial need. This is often assessed through the submission of financial information, such as income statements, tax returns, or completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Enrollment in an Accredited Institution: Most financial assistance scholarships require applicants to be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, vocational school, or other higher education institution.
  • Academic Performance: While not all financial assistance scholarships focus solely on academic performance, some programs may have minimum GPA requirements or consider academic achievements as part of the eligibility criteria.
  • Field of Study: Certain financial assistance scholarships may target students in specific fields of study or academic disciplines. They may prioritize students pursuing high-demand fields or areas of study aligned with the scholarship’s mission.
  • Personal Statements or Essays: Many financial assistance scholarships require applicants to submit personal statements, essays, or statements of purpose. These provide an opportunity for applicants to articulate their financial need, educational goals, career aspirations, and how the scholarship would make a difference in their lives.
