About This Scholarship

The Tampa Bay OWIT Scholarships are scholarship programs offered by the Tampa Bay Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT). The scholarships are designed to support and encourage women who are pursuing careers in international trade. There are two scholarship programs available: the Tampa Bay OWIT Scholarship and the Maureen A. Donnelly OWIT Scholarship. The Tampa Bay OWIT Scholarship is open to women who are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a field related to international trade, while the Maureen A. Donnelly OWIT Scholarship is open to women who are already working in a field related to international trade and are pursuing additional education or training.

The scholarships provide up to $1,500 per year and are renewable for up to three years. To apply, students must submit a completed application form, transcripts, a personal statement, and two letters of recommendation.

Eligibility Criteria For Tampa Bay OWIT Scholarships

Tampa Bay OWIT (Organization of Women in International Trade) Scholarships are scholarship programs designed to support women who are pursuing a career in international trade. The eligibility criteria for the scholarships are as follows:

  • Applicants must be female and a legal resident of the Tampa Bay area, which includes the following counties: Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, and Sarasota.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled or have been accepted into an accredited college or university program, with a focus on international trade, business, law, logistics, or a related field.
  • Applicants must submit a completed application form, official transcripts, a personal statement describing their interest and experience in international trade, and two letters of recommendation.
  • Applicants must also participate in an interview with the scholarship committee.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who demonstrate financial need and have a record of community service or extracurricular activities.

To apply, students must complete the Tampa Bay OWIT Scholarship application, provide official transcripts and other supporting documentation, and submit a personal statement and two letters of recommendation.
