About This Scholarship

The University of Tennessee Provost Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program offered by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) to incoming freshmen. It provides financial assistance to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and potential for leadership and community involvement. The Provost Scholarship covers full tuition and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate study at UTK. The scholarship is renewable each year, provided that the recipient maintains the required academic standing and meets other criteria.

Eligibility Criteria For University of Tennessee Provost Scholarship

The eligibility criteria for the University of Tennessee Provost Scholarship are as follows:

  • The student must be a resident of Tennessee.
  • The student must be an incoming freshman at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK).
  • The student must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5.
  • The student must have a minimum ACT score of 30 or SAT score of 1390.
  • The student must demonstrate leadership potential through their involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, and other achievements.
  • The student must submit a complete admissions application, including official high school transcripts and test scores, by December 15 of their senior year.

Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee that a student will receive the Provost Scholarship, as it is a highly competitive scholarship program. The scholarship is designed to attract and retain top-performing students in Tennessee and provide them with access to a high-quality education at UTK. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided the student maintains the required academic standing and meets other criteria.
