Eligibility Criteria For Virginia Commonwealth University Presidential Scholarship

The Virginia Commonwealth University Presidential Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program that provides financial support to incoming first-year students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to making a positive impact on their communities. To be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be an incoming first-year student at Virginia Commonwealth University.
  • Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1450 or ACT composite score of 33.
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, service, and character through extracurricular activities, community involvement, and personal accomplishments.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Submit a completed application for admission to Virginia Commonwealth University by the scholarship deadline.

The Presidential Scholarship provides full tuition and fees for up to four years at Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, scholarship recipients receive a $5,000 enrichment fund for academic and personal development opportunities.
