Eligibility Criteria For Voya Unsung Heroes Awards

The Voya Unsung Heroes Awards is a program that recognizes innovative K-12 educators who are making a positive impact on the lives of their students. To be eligible for the award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a full-time, K-12 educator in a public or private school in the United States.
  • Have at least two years of teaching experience.
  • Have a project or program that is innovative, creative, and designed to enhance student learning.
  • Submit a detailed description of the project or program, including how it will impact students and how it aligns with state standards.
  • Provide a budget for the project or program, including how the award funds will be used.
  • Agree to allow Voya to use their name, photo, and project description for promotional purposes.

In addition to meeting the eligibility criteria, applicants must also submit a completed application, including the project description and budget, and two letters of recommendation.
