Eligibility Criteria For William Ray Judah Scholarship

Here are some common factors that are often considered:

  • Residency: Many scholarships and financial aid programs in Nebraska are available exclusively to residents of the state. This typically requires providing proof of Nebraska residency, such as a valid driver’s license or state identification card.
  • Academic Achievement: Scholarships and grants may have minimum GPA requirements or academic performance criteria. This could include maintaining a certain grade point average or being in the top percentage of your high school graduating class.
  • Field of Study: Some scholarships and grants are targeted toward students pursuing specific fields of study or majors. These could include areas such as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), education, healthcare, or agriculture. There may be scholarships available for students in various disciplines.
  • Financial Need: Many scholarships and financial aid programs in Nebraska take into consideration the financial need of applicants. This involves evaluating the applicant’s family income, assets, and other factors to determine their level of need. Financial need is often assessed through the submission of financial documents, such as tax returns or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
  • Community Involvement and Leadership: Some scholarships may value applicants who have demonstrated active participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or leadership roles. This could include volunteering, holding leadership positions in clubs or organizations, or participating in community initiatives.
