About This Scholarship

This association unites the animation community worldwide to support and promote individuals with marginalized gender identities in animation’s art, technology, production, and business, promoting excellence and equity in all aspects of the field. Each year, the scholarship grants varying amounts to numerous female WIA members who currently participate and provide 6-10 samples of their creative work. A panel of judges will choose them, and an application is required.  The WIA Scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students. Women run it in Animation an organization that promotes the involvement of women in animation. The application form is provided and must be completed. WIA awards up to $1,000 to numerous female WIA members. There is no application fee for submission; all applicants must be available for questioning and approval by the organization’s board.
