Eligibility Criteria For Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest

  • Applicants must be enrolled in high school, including home school, or equivalent to the 12th grade.
  • Applicants must submit an original art piece in one of the following mediums: watercolor, pencil, pastel, charcoal, tempera, crayon, acrylic, pen-and-ink or oil.
  • The artwork must be done on paper or canvas, with dimensions no larger than 18×24 inches, including the mat.
  • The artwork must be signed by the artist and no computer-generated or traced artwork will be accepted.
  • The artwork must reflect patriotism in some way.
  • The artwork must be submitted to a local VFW Auxiliary by the established deadline.
