About This Scholarship

The primary goal of the Youth Foundation is to provide Hadden Scholarships for extremely deserving, financially struggling high school seniors to attend undergraduate college. The Scholarship Committee carefully considers character, academic records, financial need, extracurricular activities, and community service before choosing the beneficiaries. A student is not eligible for a scholarship unless their college agrees to forgo cutting its own scholarship amount at the price of the Youth Foundation’s offer.

The sum of each scholarship is up to $5,000 for the upcoming academic year; however, this number is subject to change. A maximum of four ordinary undergraduate school years are covered by awards. Hadden Scholarships may be used to fund a semester or full year of study abroad, subject to the policies of the student’s college or university.
