About This Scholarship

Do you teach English and other languages in a public school, and are you a member of NCTE? If this is the case, you should think about applying for the Edwyna Wheadon Postgraduate Training Scholarship! Members of NCTE who teach English and Literature at public institutions interested in pursuing postgraduate studies to improve their teaching abilities or further their careers are eligible for the award. The National Council of Teachers of English, which is a professional organization in the United States for teachers of English and language arts at all levels, is the organization that provides funding for the scholarship. The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) provides resources to strengthen the voice of professionals and educators nationwide who advocate for their students. The purpose of the scholarship is to help postgraduate students build their careers as teachers, which is in line with the mission of the NCTE, which is to provide financial support for English/Language Arts instructors who are employed by public educational institutions.
