The Professional Development Scholarship Emphasizing History, Number Theory, or Discrete Mathematics is a scholarship program that is awarded by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). This scholarship’s objectives are to offer funding assistance for:
- Completing credited course work or creating and carrying out a personal study plan in a subject related to discrete mathematics, number theory, or some element of the history of mathematics
- Developing and testing in-class activities that are suitable and
- Preparing and giving a presentation to colleagues for professional growth.
