The Mississippi Higher Education Legislative Plan for Needy Students (HELP) is a state-funded scholarship program designed to provide financial assistance to Mississippi residents who demonstrate financial need and who want to pursue higher education in Mississippi. The scholarship provides full tuition and required fees at an eligible Mississippi institution for up to eight semesters (or 10 semesters for certain programs). They must also fulfill a service obligation by working in Mississippi for at least two years after graduation in a field related to their degree.
The HELP Scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible students who submit a completed application and meet all eligibility criteria.
