If you have lived in Iowa and have been directly impacted by childhood cancer, either currently or in the past, you may want to consider applying for the Children’s Cancer Connection Empowering Scholarships. These scholarships are available to current and incoming college students who have had cancer themselves or had a sibling diagnosed with cancer before age 18 while living, being treated, or diagnosed in Iowa. The Children’s Cancer Connection, a non-profit organization supporting families affected by pediatric cancer in Iowa, funds the scholarship. The selected students may receive up to $1,000 annually to help with their college expenses.
