The Conservation Internship for Broadening Access (CIBA) provides undergraduate students with the chance to learn about museum conservation while focusing on students from populations that are currently underrepresented in the field. CIBA interns are matched with mentors in numerous conservation labs across the Smithsonian for a 10-week summer programme. The programme provides provided lodging and a stipend to interns in order to support them. The internship reward may also include a travel reimbursement for relocation.
