SWSIS Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security  is a scholarship program which is meant to Fill the existing gender gap in the cyber security field. SWSIS scholarships are managed by Applied Computer Security Associates (ACSA) along with the Committee on Widening Participation (CRA-WP). The Swiss scholarships for Women Studying Information security are an essential component that helps women gain financial stability while starting their technical careers. Since 2011, the program has granted hundreds of thousands of dollars to Female students who have enrolled in the institutions located in the USA. The aim of the scholarship is to assist recipients in covering educational costs while studying information security-related programs that would enable them to protect digital devices from different kinds of cyber attacks.

The SWSIS Scholarship provides an excellent opportunity to women who are passionate about information security. With scholarship amounts of $2,000 and above, assistance is provided to help with handling expensive technical courses. Eligible students are in their third or fourth year of undergraduate studies or enrolled in a master’s program. Such eligibility criteria ensure that the recipients are dedicated to cybersecurity because they have shown an interest in it during their academic studies.

Eligibility Criteria For SWSIS Scholarships for Women Studying Information Security

Gender: Applicants must identify as female.

Academic Level: Applicants must be either upperclassmen undergraduate or master’s students. Undergraduates must have at least two years of study remaining in their programs. Master’s students must be enrolled full-time in a relevant field of study.

Field of Study: Applicants must pursue a degree in information security or a related field, such as cybersecurity or computer science.

Citizenship: Applicants must be either US citizens or permanent residents.

GPA: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Financial Need: Financial need is considered, but it is not a requirement to apply for the scholarship.
