The UMSA Foundation Scholarship is a regional based scholarship program That aimed at nurturing future leaders within the fields of cybersecurity and risk management. In order to support our ongoing work in multidisciplinary collaboration and education, the UMSA Foundation established its scholarship programme. The scholarship programme offers financial aid for undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education courses in any of the following areas: business continuity and disaster recovery; cybersecurity; governance, risk, and compliance; or physical security (applicants may submit more than one application). Residents of Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or Wisconsin are required to apply. This Scholarship operates under the purview of the Upper Midwest Security Alliance and stresses interdisciplinary cooperation and education. The scholarships offer fund of several $3,000 scholarships to individuals aspiring to careers in critical infrastructure protection and organizational data protection.

We want to offer financial support through this scholarship programme in order to develop the future leaders of our country and maintain our industry.
The UMSA Foundation Scholarship stands as a focused effort towards building the cybersecurity talent pool in the Midwest region. This particular program targets residents from five Midwestern states: Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. In addition to filling the financial gaps of students pursuing their studies in cybersecurity, this scholarship also covers four major areas, namely cybersecurity, physical security, business continuity/disaster recovery, and governance, risk, and compliance.
