Are you a member of the family of a roadway worker who has died or become permanently incapacitated, and are you now attending a higher education institution? If this is the case, you should investigate whether or not you qualify for the Roadway Worker Memorial Scholarship Program. College graduates who are the kids or spouses of roadway workers murdered or permanently injured while working in roadway work zones are eligible to participate in this program. This chance to assist the road worker community and their families are made available by the American Traffic Safety Services (ATSS) Foundation, which does so with great pride. With participation in this initiative, the ATSS hopes to assist family members and loved ones of deceased roadway employees in achieving their educational objectives. Hence, students who are awarded the scholarship will receive an amount of up to $10,000 to assist them in covering the costs of their degree programs, including tuition and other fees. Under this program, students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited institution in a degree program directly related to traffic safety and roadways. Scholarships are awarded one year at a time and may be renewed for as many years as deemed appropriate by the ATSS. Some factors that will be considered when reviewing renewal applications include grades, participation in activities, community involvement, leadership skills, and other similar qualifications.
