The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation provides scholarships worth more than $1.2 million to deserving students each year. The Foundation also awards grants to academics and people pursuing professional certifications to better their careers. The Foundation has given out more than $26 million in scholarships since the program’s start in 1987 to help the upcoming generation of business leaders. The David R. Parsley Scholarship was established to encourage students to pursue professions in foodservice supply chain management. It provides undergraduate students with awards ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. For similar honours and in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industries, ideal applicants should be enrolled in post-secondary education.
