If you are a graduate student in journalism of Asian or Pacific Islander descent, you may be interested in applying for the CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship. This scholarship is exclusively available to members of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) who aspire to become Asian-American journalists and are currently enrolled in a graduate program. The AAJA is a non-profit organization committed to promoting diversity and precise reporting of communities of color. They offer various scholarships, including the CIC/Anna Chennault Scholarship, named after Anna Chennault, a writer, international business executive, and the founder of the Council for International Cooperation (CIC). Each year, one deserving Asian-American journalist will be awarded $5,000 along with travel, lodging, and registration to attend AAJA’s national annual convention and will also be assigned a mentor for the event.
