Eligibility Criteria For Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship

  • Minority Status: The scholarship is specifically designed to support and encourage minorities who are underrepresented in government finance. Therefore, applicants must be members of one of the following minority groups: Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Alaska Native, Asian, or Pacific Islander.
  • Academic Level: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as an upper-level undergraduate or graduate students. Students pursuing any major are welcome to apply if they are interested in pursuing a career in government finance.
  • Career Aspirations: Applicants must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in government finance. This could include roles such as budget analysts, financial managers, and other positions involving public funds.
  • GPA Requirement: Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. This requirement ensures that applicants have demonstrated academic excellence in their studies.
