If you’re a music-loving John Lennon fan, you might be interested in applying for the John Lennon Scholarship! Founded by Yoko Ono in 1997, the scholarship aims to assist young college students passionate about making music in paying off their educational expenses. The scholarship is available to college students and graduates aged between 17 and 24 who compose or write songs in various contemporary musical styles, such as rock, R&B, and alternative. Every year, the scholarship awards three prizes, totaling $20,000, to aid students in paying for their schooling. Not only does the scholarship alleviate the burden of student debt, but it is also a highly regarded distinction for up-and-coming songwriters.
